Another busy, yet amazingly fun weekend ends, and another crazy, hectic working week begins. Do you ever feel like you're stuck in a rut? Wake up, have a shower, go to work, stress out and nearly have a mental breakdown, come home, eat dinner, watch television, have a shower, feed the animals, go to bed. Wake up, and do it all over again. The weekends are always different, I suppose. But somehow they don't seem different enough. Friday night was a first for me. It was Shay's birthday, and we went into the city to celebrate. That was the first time I've gone 'out' to the city to drink and party and have fun. And I felt good about that. About doing it for the first time. There are plenty of other things that I haven't done yet, that I really want to. Go to a club - a proper, dancing club with pounding beats and flashing lights. Go to a football game, and legally drink a beer. Get involved in a team sport. So many things... I need to start living a little bit. At the moment, I feel as though I am simply surviving. Not living. Friday night made me feel alive. And I crave more of that.
